DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
The balance must be paid no later than 80 days before departure. If your holiday booking is made within 80 days of departure then payment of the full amount of the holiday is required at the time of booking. Failure to make the final outstanding payments will be treated as a cancellation (see CANCELLATION).
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
Upon receipt your signed booking form and deposit (or full payment) we shall send you a confirmation receipt. This will include details of all travel arrangements, customer information, passport/visa requirements and payment summary. It is important than this information be checked thoroughly to ensure that it reflects the booking that you have made.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Flight and Cruise tickets together with any relevant documents are normally Sent to you about 2 weeks prior to departure. If you do not receive them please call us. Some cruise lines do not send tickets but hold them at the pier for pickup. Last minute bookings will also have pier pickup tickets. In these cases carry your paid invoice to show at the pier check-in. Pier pickup instructions will be sent with your invoice.
INSURANCE
All passengers must have a travel insurance policy. A suitable policy can be arranged online. If you have your own travel insurance you must provide us with the name of the company that you are insured with and the policy number. We would prefer this information on the day of booking or as soon as possible afterwards.
CANCELLATION
If you want to cancel your booking:
In the event that you have to cancel your holiday kindly contact us as early as possible followed by written notification of your intentions by letter or by e-mail. This must be done by recorded delivery and the instructions to cancel should be signed by the same person who has booked the travel arrangements. You must also return any confirmations and tickets you may have already received. Cancellation requests must be received directly by dcruiseshop.com. The following charges are applicable for cancellations:
MSC CRUISES
More than 70 days before departure – Loss of deposit
70 to 45 days before departure 25%* of total fare
44 to 31 days before departure 40%* of total fare
30 to 18 days before departure 60%* of total fare
17 to 6 days before departure 80%* of total fare
5 days before departure 100%*
* Or deposit – Whichever is greater.
No refund will be permitted if a guest terminates his/her cruise in progress. Cruise contracts are non-transferable. Name changes and cruise date changes are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees.
Cancellation charges are assessed on total fares, which include cruise fare, air add-on, hotel packages, and any other additional services arranged through MSC Cruises.
NCL - Norwegian Cruise Line
Reservations cancelled from more than 61 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to the deposit amount.
Reservations cancelled from 60 to 42 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 45% of the total fares.
Reservations cancelled from 41 to 16 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 75% of the total fares.
Reservations cancelled from 15 to 5 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 90% of the total fares.
Reservations cancelled 4 days or less prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 100% of the total fares.
Carnival Cruise Lines
Reservations cancelled from more than 58 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to the deposit amount.
Reservations cancelled from 57 to 15 days prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 50% of the total fares.
Reservations cancelled 14 days or less prior to sailing - The cancellation charge is equal to 100% of the total fares.
If the booking is cancelled by the operator
The operator reserves the right to make necessary changes to your holiday arrangements and can even cancel your holiday/booking altogether. Although changes/cancellations by the operator are very rare it is sometimes unavoidable. These are normally due to unforeseen or unusual circumstances. Examples of such circumstance are war or the threat of war, riots, civil action, natural disasters, acts of god, terrorist activity, technical faults, fire, closure of ports, industrial action, adverse weather conditions and any other event that’s outside the control.
A compensation package may be offered by the operator if such circumstances occur and a full refund will be given for bookings cancelled completely.
CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
Changes made by you
Changes to details of your booking after receipt of confirmation can only be made with consent from DCruiseshop. Alterations are subject to a charge of £20.00 and any alterations made within 45 days of departure will be subject to an administration charge of £45.00 per person. Name changes and cruise date changes are considered reservation cancellations and are subject to the above cancellation fees.
Changes made by the operator
Although rarely, there might be the necessity to change part of the holiday booked with us. If for any reason there are substantial changes to the cruise part of your holiday you will be given the option to cancel or accept the alternative arrangements at no extra cost to you. Occasionally changes might be found necessary in your flight arrangements. Should the changes mean that we have to offer flights on a different airline than originally agreed, you will have the option to accept or cancel the whole package. However we have the right to make changes which effect timings and/or aircraft on the same airline as long as there is no material change to the schedule of the package.

Child’s age: when entering a child’s age this must be the age that the child will be on the date of return from holiday. Travel may be refused if the date of birth according to the child’s passport disagrees with the age on the tickets.
