BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

When Booking

To make or confirm a booking you must be at least 18 years of age. Your reservation is subject to the suppliers’ terms and conditions and you are bound by these conditions as age limits may vary between suppliers. You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of booking are correct.

You must carefully read all terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy in this website before booking any holiday arrangements. When booking through this website you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Deposit

At time of booking, to enable us to secure the services you require, a non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is to be made. Please note the deposit may be higher on selected cabin types such as suites, depending on the cruise line. However if the booking is made or confirmed within 90 days of departure then the full balance is required.

Balance

The full balance and any applicable surcharges must be paid no later than 90 days before departure date. If your holiday booking is made within 90 days of departure then payment of the full amount of the holiday is required at time of booking. Failure to make the final outstanding payments will be treated as a cancellation. If we do not receive the balance in full and on time we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you in which case the cancellation charges would apply.

Confirmation of Booking

Upon receipt of your booking form and deposit (or full payment) we shall send you a confirmation receipt. This will include details of all travel arrangements, customer information and payment summary. It is important that this information be checked thoroughly to ensure that it reflects the information on your booking.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your reservation this need to be done in writing to dcruiseshop.com by mail, email or fax. We cannot accept cancellation by telephone. Cancellations are effective from the date we receive them. Upon receipt we will contact the relevant supplier/s to ascertain the relevant charges and will inform you accordingly. You will then be liable for those charges.

Since we incur additional administrative expenses in dealing with cancellations a cancellation fee of £80 per booking will be applied over and above any cancellation fees charged by the service providers.

The service providers reserve the right to make necessary changes to your holiday arrangements and can even cancel your holiday/booking altogether. Although changes/cancellations by the service providers are very rare it is sometimes unavoidable. These are normally due to unforeseen or unusual circumstances such as war or threat of war, riots, civil action, natural disasters, acts of god, terrorist activity, technical faults, fire, closure of ports, industrial action, adverse weather conditions and any other event that is outside the provider’s control.

An alternative holiday may be offered if such circumstances arise and a full refund of the cruise cost will be given if a cruise is cancelled completely.

Changes to Bookings

If, after our confirmation invoice has been issued, you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way we will do our utmost to accommodate your requirements. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of €40 per amendment requested and any further costs we incur in making this alteration. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date the changes are made.

All requests for changes are to be received by dcruiseshop.com in writing. Name changes and cruise date changes could be considered a cancellation by certain suppliers and could therefore be subject to cancellation fees.

Although rarely, there might be the necessity that we or one of our suppliers change part of the holiday booked with us. If, for any reason, there are substantial changes to the cruise part of your holiday you will be given the option to cancel or accept the alternative arrangements. Occasionally changes might be found necessary in your flight arrangements if this happens we will do our utmost that the changes do not have a significant effect on your holiday. However we have the right to make changes which effect timings and/or aircraft and/or airline as long as there is no material change to the schedule of the package.

Travel Documents

Flight and Cruise tickets together with any relevant documents are normally sent to you approximately 14 days prior to departure. If you do not receive them please call us. Some cruise lines do not send tickets but hold them at the pier for pickup. Last minute bookings will also have pier pickup tickets. In these cases carry your paid invoice to show at the pier check-in. Pier pickup instructions will be sent with your invoice.

Method of Payment

We reserve the right to charge an administration/service fee of 2.5% for payments made by credit card. No fees are applicable if payment is effected through debit card or by cheque. If payment is made by cheque confirmation of booking can only be made after clearance of cheque.

Validity of Prices

Prices on our website are subject to availability and conditions. Although every care has been taken the prices are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice.

Any featured prices for a cruise or for accommodation or any other package will normally be based on a minimum of two adults sharing unless otherwise indicated.

The majority of cruise lines include meals, port taxes and some also include gratuities and even alcoholic beverages. These inclusions vary for each cruise line so please make sure you are aware of what your cruise price includes when booking.

Gratuities vary with each cruise line. Please check if the gratuities are included in your particular cruise. Also note that some cruise lines’ gratuities are compulsory and cannot be waivered.

Fly Cruise Timings

Please note that on certain featured dates, the flight availability may not synchronize with the departure of the cruise. This may result in pre or post accommodation having to be purchased in addition to the feature fly/cruise price. If in doubt please contact our travel consultants for further information.

Most airlines state that there is no need to re-confirm your departure times and flight numbers. We will not take responsibility for any flight time or flight number alteration made by airlines. dcruiseshop.com strongly advise that all onward and return flights should be reconfirmed by phone with the relevant airline at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you have a travel insurance policy. A suitable policy can be arranged online. If you have your own travel insurance you must provide us with the name of the company that you are insured with and the policy number. We would prefer this information on the day of booking or as soon as possible afterwards.

Passport, Visa & Immigration Requirements

Your specific passport and visa requirements and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant embassies and/or consulates. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa, immigration or health requirements. Age of Children

When entering a child’s age this must be the age that the child will be on the date of return from holiday. Travel may be refused if the date of birth according to the child’s passport disagrees with the age on the tickets. Children under 2 years of age on the date of return may count as infants and may not be entitled to a separate seat on the aircraft. International airline regulations allow only one infant per adult.

The upper age limit of children varies from one cruise line company to the other. Please check at time of booking.

ATOL

Regulations require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for package holidays booked through our company and your repatriation in the event of our insolvency. We provide this security by way of a bond held by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL is ATOL 9144. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad, and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking.
